Position Announcement:

Part Time Communications Specialist

Join our team as a Part Time Communications Specialist!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist as a part-time, remote position. This position will focus on the two main responsibilities of growing the More Than Food brand and creating materials to communicate effectively about our work. Join a team where we approach our work with a sense of purpose, passion, and kindness.

We are looking for someone who uses strength-based language and uses an abundance mindset to reframe the perception of hunger and the charitable food system from an emergency response to transformational changes. This position will be responsible for planning and executing communications across several established communications streams (monthly newsletters, website content, bimonthly webinars), with potential to expand into new areas to promote More Than Food Consulting. Applying an eye for design, this position would support brand implementation across resources and content to deliver a consistent look and feel.

This position will report to the Program Manager. This part-time position offers flexible working hours but will require some availability during the traditional 9-5 working day (EST) for meetings and special events. We anticipate this position to be approximately 5-10 hours/week at a rate of $20 - $25 an hour, depending upon experience and qualifications. There may be opportunities to expand the role and increase hours and responsibilities over time.
